Finding Your Voice – Unmuting Ourselves

In the past year, I’ve learned so much from STEM women in programs at In-TAC (Ottawa Women’s Network) and ISSofBC (Advanced Literacy and Essential Skills). These accomplished women have taught me about reclaiming voices lost for all kinds of reasons: immigration, mothering and more. I’m looking forward to sharing what I’ve learned in this 2nd annual workshop offered by the Society for Canadian Women in Science and Technology (SCWIST). Finding Your Voice: Unmuting Ourselves takes place on Tuesday, Dec. 15 from 5:30 to 7:00 PST. On Zoom, of course! (Register on Eventbrite.) I had a chance to talk with Dawn Park from SCWIST about the very personal issue of losing, and then reclaiming, our voices.
